The Republican party picked up another seat in the legislature on April 2nd. Ms. Leah Cole a 24 year old nurse from Peabody and conservative Republican defeated both a Democrat and a Liberal candidate running unenrolled.
A lot of people from around the State worked hard and contributed finances to help make this possible. The Massachusetts Republican Assembly & the Coalition For Marriage backed Leah both in the primary and
the general. As well, the MA-GOP also came through. Therefore, some credit rightly belongs to Kirsten Hughes our new chair.
There is a lesson to be learned by this victory. One doesn’t need compromise convictions, become Democrat-Lite, or pander to the left by surrendering core Republican social policies in order to win in Massachusetts. The winning formula is to motivate the conservative, attract the vote of commonsense unenrolled voters, and win over the disenfranchised old school Democrats, who seek an alternative to the Moonbattery such as the “bathroom bill”

No disrespect intended to other candidates, but Leah Cole, a Social Conservative, won her race. Others who chose to pander and accept the false premises of the left, did not fair so well. If Republicans are serious about winning in this state, they don’t need to fear running as Republicans.
Thank you Leah Cole and congratulations!
