REPUBLICAN STATE COMMITTEE
CANDIDATES
FOR CONTESTED OFFICES
MARCH 1st Election, 2016
VOTE FOR ONE MAN, AND ONE WOMAN, FROM EACH of 40 SENATORIAL DISTRICTS

LAST UPDATED January 29, 2017 3:34 PM
PLEASE REFRESH YOUR BROWSER TO VIEW UPDATES.

COMMENTARY - How are the Republicans Doing?

Look around. How many Republican elected officials are there in this state?
Not many:
• Of 160 state representatives: 34
• Of the 40 state senators: 5
• Of the 11 Washington offices: 0
• Of state-wide offices other than governor: 0, zippo, nada, nunca, nothing.

Meanwhile, the Republican State Committee, the 80-member policy-making and managing group
responsible for the Republican party voice, goals, and campaign initiatives continues to flounder. And
candidates for the 2016 election cycle? As scarce as donuts at a Weight Watchers® meeting.

On www.VoteCoreValues.org, candidates are rated on their votes and declared positions on a number
of core beliefs and values that are controversial, yet important to some voters, including guns, taxes,
abortion, etc. The site is currently being updated for the 2016 election season and displays the current
state committee and opponents.

Regarding the votes cited:
• A: A YES voted defended the current method of selecting delegates to the national convention. A NO vote would allow the
party elites to choose their own delegates.
• B: Party platform vote to more closely match the national platform, including noting that abortion is a tragedy, and that the
strongest, most natural family unit for raising a child includes both a mother and father.

• C: Supports disclosure of Chairman's salary prior to his/her election.
• D: Anti-Establishment Pledge that affirms traditional conservative values, opposes illegal immigration, and defends the 2nd
Amendment - read the entire pledge at XXXXXinsertLINKxxxxx..

Long-time Newton RTC Chair.

ANOTHER so-called 'moderate' which is a code-word for liberal embracer of all things LGBT.
Tom's a friendly guy who made a big splash on this campaign site, embracing the LGBT community - inviting the Head of the Mass. LGBT Log Cabin Republicans to not just speak at his meeting, but to showcase him - promote the LGBT agenda - including posing for photos, and posting same on his campaign page, and attending the LGBT reception at the 2016 Republican National Convention. Actions speak loud, and his actions say he's a liberal at the core. I mean, did we mention who he posed with for a photo? Yup, Bruce Jenner, and then placed it on his Facebook campaign site. Here it is:

His endorsement of Democrat incumbent hacks on the School Committee against their reform-oriented challengers in 2009

He Signed the Friends of Austin Street petition, which was a high-density apartment project promoted by our Democrat Mayor that will privatize profits for a politically connected developer and socialize costs to taxpayers in the form of higher school enrollments
He voted for Baker at the 2014 convention & served as a sign distribution point for Gabe Gomez’s signs in the 2013 U.S. Senate Primary, see below
His part in welcoming the Log Cabin Republicans to Newton

Just did a 1/2-hour quasi-infomerciall on WCRN with his Baker-endorsed counterpart and tried to tell the audience how hard he works, how much he supports Charlie, and how conservative he is. If he believes what he spewed on the air in the gushing politics show, that's even worse, as his record doesn't match his rhetoric.

MassGOP Attorney Repsonsible for Convention and $240,000 judge-ordered payment to candidate Mark Fisher as settlement after the worst-run convention with the worst, most third-world voting fraud perpetuation in the history of the MassGOP. Boss Tweed Baker:

The Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, 680 AM WRKO Talk Host Jeff Kuhner, and Talk Host Howie Carr have all detailed the unprecedented attempt by Charlie Baker and Karyn Polito to use 'secret' donor funds to take full control of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee, and PURGE THE 80-member board of any conservatives or right-leaning Republicans.

IF you're a liberal, or a Democrat donor, or a state employee, you're at the top of the list for Charlie's endorsement for election. Charlie cares about Charlie, and wants FULL control of the 80-member board, and has put what is estimated at in excess of THREE-QUARTERS OF A MILLION DOLLARS in fancy slick mailings to make sure only RINOS get elected to the board.

SO, if you like what you see (Republicans hold ZERO state-wide offices with exception to the gov's office, and only 5 of 40 senator seats, and only 34 of 160 house seats, and ZERO, ZIPPO, NADA NUNCA of the 11 Washington seats), go ahead and vote for Charlie's charletans. If you want change, look at the list of reformers below and VOTE!

Listen on WRKO from 12 - 6 pm. daily, or read about Charlie's misadventures in the Globe and the Herald.

SPECIAL NOTE ON STATE EMPLOYEES and the Gov. Baker Connection:

Baker wants to put even MORE state employees on the Republican State Committee. By law, they can't raise a DIME for Republican candidates (a critical part of the job) but they sure can support Charlie, and they can vote to TAKE THE PRESIDENTIAL DELEGATES away from the VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, and replace them appointments by the party elite! They tried it once and failed by a razor-close vote. Now they are perched to try it again after this election!

We've made note of cases where we are aware of the fact that a candidate or current State Committee member is a State Employee.  This information is important for two reasons.

1) There is an obvious and blatant conflict of interest as a State Employee holding a political patronage job is beholden to the Establishment. The Globe ran an extensive series this past week on the pressure put on state employees to endorse and otherwise take actions to KEEP their boss happy, or potentially LOSE their hack jobs.

2) State Employees are forbidden by law from raising money for candidates or the party and this is a crucial aspect of the job.

Gov. Charlie Baker has sent out multiple e-mails and mailings and is spending unknown time and treasure, and held has political endorsement events for many candidates listed below who are both beholden to him for appointments to state positions, or are state employees who, again, are unable to raise funds for Republican candidates...but they CAN support him, in his attempt to EXTINGUISH any conservative voices from the state committee.

Check back often for new links, photos, and voting rankings.
We have received DOZENS of comme
nts on the candidates since posting this info on Feb. 15th.
Out of fairness to all, we're trying to go through things and slowly evaluate any changes.
We urge you do to your own research also. Some candidates might have made some good votes, or made some good statements, but still, overall have a bad track record.
One good speech or vote does not discount a long pattern of activity, just as one bad endorsement does not send someone into the negative zone. Few humans are without copious errors of ommision and commission.

Candidates - please send us links to your your own campaign sites. We'll post them.
That is one way to help get info out IN YOUR OWN WORDS and PHOTOS, as well as your opponent...

DID WE GET A RATING WRONG?
Well, with incumbents, VOTES speak loud, but with "challengers",
picking through the mud can get murky at times.
Have your candidate fill out the questionnaire! Or contact us! E-

Your candidate may be pro-life or pro-abortion. That is his/her option. This site is designed to reflect votes and positions so that YOU know what your candidate's CORE position is on various issues.  In the future, our database of each candidate's rating will contain links detailing the candidate's database of votes which earned each particular rating (except congressional, as their ratings are easily tracked at projectvotesmart).

Definitions used on this website:

Pro- 2nd Amendment = supports individual's gun rights
Enforce Immigration Laws = oppose drivers license, free tuition and benefits for illegals
Pro-Family = pro-child: supports marriage between one man and one woman
as he/she would not deny a child the fundamental right
to have a mother, or a father; supports parent rights over state rights
especially with education in our schools
Pro-Life = supports full term protection and birth of babies,
against support of tax dollars for abortion

We are always looking for researchers to contribute to the site. Please support our efforts by forwarding campaign and candidate material. Thank you. And yes, we will ALWAYS protect your privacy. (Just as we will always verify items to the best of our abilities -see below--prior to posting.)

Information listed is based on best available public information, voting records, roll calls, endorsements promoted by candidates, and/or comments made by candidates. We highly recommend that if you have any concrete information to the contrary, please forward it to us so that our review board may confirm the information and post any changes. During the review period, the current posting will be flagged accordingly. We thank you for your attention and help in this matter. Please keep in mind, one "good" vote on a issue does not counter multiple "bad" votes on an issue.  We seek to accurately reflect the "CORE" values of each candidate.
