Adam Chaprales: A Hard-Fought Race

From Adam Chaprales

Dear Friends,

Earlier this summer, I decided to run for Congress out of concern for the future of our country. I believe deeply that our nation is in need of new leadership to address problems like America’s enormous national debt, high taxes, and out-of-control spending in Washington.
I have spent the past few months talking about these and other important issues with a terrific group of people I have met across our district. And, I am grateful for all of the conversations I have had with these people, which have reminded me of what a great place Cape Cod is to live.
We have all waited for the past few days for final results of last Thursday’s primary to be released. Earlier today, my campaign learned from the Secretary of State that it appears the results are not in our favor. I am disappointed to learn of this result, but I immediately called Chris Sheldon to congratulate him on a hard-fought race and to pledge him my full support in the general election. I am also notifying the Secretary of State that I am releasing the Sheldon campaign from its request to have certain votes recounted, out of my belief that a recount would not serve the best interest of the municipal governments that would need to fund it or the Republican Party as it chooses a nominee.
I would like to thank all of you for your consistent support and encouragement throughout the process. I will forever remember your efforts on my behalf, and I am grateful for all you did.
Thank you.

Congratulations to both candidates for running good races.

I hope everyone gets behind Chris Sheldon to defeat the tax & spend, big government, hyper-liberal, Keating.

Adam deserves a lot of credit for accepting the results of the race and pledging his support. I hope he remains involved in the process and runs for another office soon.
