DID WE GET A RATING WRONG? Your candidate may be pro-life or pro-abortion. That is his/her option. This site is designed to reflect votes and positions so that YOU know what your candidate's CORE position is on various issues. In the future, our database of each candidate's rating will contain links detailing the candidate's database of votes which earned each particular rating (except congressional, as their ratings are easily tracked at projectvotesmart). MOST INTERESTING EVENT OF THE CAMPAIGN: Boston's PRIDE PARADE

Absolute big-government, high taxes, ultra-liberal. He repeatedly encourages cities/towns to raise taxes on meals, hotels, and anything possible. Financially dangerous to the "hardworking middle-class or blue-collar worker." |

Charlie Baker: I'm Pro-Choice. I support a woman's right to choose. That said, I'm opposed to Partial Birth Abortion, and support Parental Notification up to age 18. Running mate Richard Tisei "is a cosponsor of HB 1728, the “transgender rights” or “bathroom bill,” a bill that would open public restrooms, locker rooms and other private areas to anyone of any gender regardless of biological sex. If elected, Tisei will be an advocate for radical social changes opposed by common sense conservatives." from http://liberalbaker.wordpress.com/ |

* In March 2010, all indications were that Tim Cahill was pro-choice. Here's what he had on his website listed under "Core Values": "I believe in and support a women's right to choose. I also believe that abortion should be safe, legal, and rare." Fast forward to July 2010, and he's submitted a survey to MCFL, met with them, and they've now endorsed him. We'll wait to see the fallout. Looks like a flip/flop. But, at least he isn't Baker or Patrick on this topic. The State PAC has asked us to share with you this statement of theirs |

"Jill Stein will fight any attempt to balance the budget through tax or fee hikes that hit ordinary taxpayers. She will stand for the fairness solution — which means closing any budget gap by asking higher-income taxpayers to pay something closer to the rate that most people have been experiencing for years. Fairness is not only just, but is the only practical way to preserve essential services and to avoid a continuing series of budget crises." Green-Rainbow Party Candidate. |

Remembered far and wide as "THE FLIP FLOPPER" on the homosexual marriage votes. First he's for, then against, then for homosexual marriage. *Voted against: Sep 14, 2005:Affirming marriage for heterosexuals only. Flip from vote in prior session. Again, voted FOR the amendment in 2006, only to AGAIN flip/flop in 2007. One of 9 legislators who changed their votes from YES to NO. |

![]() Richard R. Tisei BAKER's RUNNING MATE. |

ENDORSED a DEMOCRAT against a Republican back in 2007. Typically labeled a "RINO" for his "Republican In Name Only" positions. *Ratings each year from CLT run from A to B to C to D to F. Past few years he's been fine. He has voted against some higher-profile tax increases. We've updgraded him from his 2001 lows of a solid D to a "leaning" to reflect his recent changes of heart. He pulled a solid 100% A in 2009 just prior to announcing his run for Lt. Gov. Hmmm..... Tisei announced to run for Lt. Gov. with Charlie Baker a couple of days after finally "coming out of the closet" and revealing the worst-kept secret on Beacon Hill (he's had a "domestic partner for 16 years".) Richard Tisei "is a cosponsor of HB 1728, the “transgender rights” or “bathroom bill,” a bill that would open public restrooms, locker rooms and other private areas to anyone of any gender regardless of biological sex. If elected, Tisei will be an advocate for radical social changes opposed by common sense conservatives." from http://liberalbaker.wordpress.com/ |
